The Outer Worlds is a science fiction RPG game whose story unfolds in deep space. You play as the last remaining human alive, fighting for your life against a terrifying and menacing universe. Explore new planets and moons, meet strange creatures, build and manage settlements for humanity to thrive in this hostile environment.
Control one character through voice activation or with controller input. Your companions are AIs that you can switch between, but it takes valuable time and resources to do so. You have to find a balance between working on the settlement and advancing your character.
You have to survive because the world is not what it seems. I have seen the story trailer, and it’s clear that you don’t want to explore every little detail and learn about everything there is in this vast universe.
The story also centers around a corporation, which is a new thing for a Final Fantasy-type game. It’s like the start-up company that you work for or the government organization, and it’s going to be really interesting to see how they will influence the story. And is this early access or paid early access? I’m not sure if it’s more of an alpha or beta because there are still some bugs in the game, but I can assume that there will be more content added during early access than at launch.
The story is complex and has many twists and turns, so much that I would like to have more time in the game. You have choices to make in either direction, moral or immoral, but you have to pay the consequences later.
